ANDY BLOEDORN
| HEAD DISTILLER
Andy Bloedorn is the Head Distiller at Warfield Distillery & Brewery. With a deep fascination for agriculture and a background in biological sciences, Andy spent many years as a commodities trader. However, his passion for grains eventually led him to move beyond trading them—he wanted to create something with them. What better way to showcase the journey from field to glass than through whiskey?
Andy is deeply proud of Warfield’s achievements and is always focused on refining and enhancing the distillery’s offerings.
When he’s not overseeing operations at the distillery, Andy can often be found at his second home—the ice rink. His wife might argue that it’s his first home. A lifelong hockey player, Andy is also passionate about coaching youth hockey, sharing his love for the game with the next generation.
JOSH STROBEL
| HEAD BREWER
A Colorado native, Josh Strobel brings excitement, creativity, and a strong work ethic to his brewing practices. Trained in his home state at CSU, and practiced with over 7 years’ experience at local Colorado breweries, Josh is as comfortable working in the tanks as he is talking to the customers up front. Josh brings a fresh and unique flavor profile to the Warfield lineup, and with a love for naming his newest creations, be sure to keep an eye on that beer board for fresh brews that capture your tastes and bring a smile to your lips. When he’s not busy in the tanks or on the canning line, you’ll find Josh exploring his new mountain home, hitting the mountain trails running, biking, and hiking, or camping and enjoying a nice crisp lager.
Emma grew up in the Wood River Valley and returned home to brew at Warfield after eleven years out of state. Her degree in Food Science from Cal Poly, SLO sparked her interest in lab work which brought her to Sonoma county wineries, where she was able to work harvest and travel in the off-season. After 5 years in the wine world, she followed her passion for homebrewing to Bend, Oregon where she learned to brew at a production scale at Sunriver Brewing.
In addition to operating the brew house and working in the cellar, Emma is working towards her diploma in brewing through the Institute of Brewing and Distilling to gain as much knowledge as possible surrounding all things beer.
While not at work, you can find Emma hiking, cooking, reading, playing board games, propagating her plants and hanging out with her dog Reinga.
