At Sun Valley Distillery, we offer an exclusive opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind American Single Malt Whiskey that reflects your taste, story, and spirit. Our Custom Barrel & Bottling Program invites individuals, groups, and businesses to select and personalize a full barrel of our premium whiskey—from aging to labeling. You’ll have an opportunity to visit beautiful Sun Valley, tour our facility, and learn how we make our Gold Medal winning American Single Malt whiskey—the only one in the state of Idaho.
1. Select Your Whiskey
Choose from our curated selection of aging barrels—ranging in mash bill, proof, and age—or work with our head distiller to customize a new fill to your specifications.
2. Customize the Experience
Tailor your barrel with:
Personalized barrel head branding
Aging duration (with expert guidance)
Custom proofing options at bottling
3. Design Your Bottles
When your whiskey is ready, we’ll bottle it just for you or you can bring in your friends, family, employees, or coworkers and bottle as a team.

Bottled in 750ml bottles.
4. Enjoy Your Barrel
A standard 53-gallon barrel yields approximately 200–250 bottles (depending on age and proof). Perfect for the following:

Lead times and pricing vary based on the age and type of whiskey. We offer everything from new fill barrels that you may age with us or purchase an already aged barrel.
